Rising global temperatures have sounded alarm bells. The United Nations, in its latest report on weather and climate, has warned that there is no place for us to flee or hide.

According to a recent report by the UN panel of 234 scientists from around the world, the most important aspect of this scenario is that man himself is responsible for bringing the world on this path. This is because the greenhouse gases emitted by their activities are causing global warming.

The ever-warming earth is creating difficulties and catastrophes for all kinds of human beings and life. Heat waves are setting new records.

Now more hurricanes are coming than ever before and their intensity is increasing with each passing year. The number and intensity of rains and floods are already increasing. On the other hand, in many parts of the world, the periods of drought and famine are getting longer, the ground water is getting drier. Glaciers are melting rapidly, causing sea levels to rise, posing a major threat to many coastal areas.

Global warming has resulted in heavy rains and floods causing massive loss of life and property in many countries.

Scientists say that if immediate and swift action is not taken to prevent the earth from warming up, life here will become very difficult by the end of this century.

Why is the earth's temperature rising?

During the day, the earth absorbs the sun's heat and releases it into the atmosphere at night. There is a sphere around the earth which contains different gases. One of these gases is carbon dioxide. Its amount in the atmosphere is very small. This gas has the ability to prevent the heat of the earth from going back into the universe. As the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere increases, so does the temperature of the Earth. We humans are largely responsible for the emission of carbon dioxide.
